Front page news, baby!

There´s a link on the front page of Aftonbladet today to a list of the best vintage shops in Stockholm, and they´ve used our beautiful cover girl Bex to illustrate the link!

That has really made a slow and snowy day much more enjoyable!

Ooh, swish!

Michael sent me this video today, and I love it. Their predictions were actually fairly accurate: pantsuits, wedges, netting dresses and the man with the phone strapped to him!

Loved up in Sofo

Valentine´s display is now up, complete with some lovely shots of my favourite pinup girl Julia by Michael. Also in the window is a super comfy pair of pyjamas, some very cute Mary Quant socks and Mama Kellerman´s favourite Elsa Schiaparelli hat.

Inside the shop I´ve made a display of lovely little present ideas, like stockings, jewellery, hats, gloves and hankerchiefs. We also have a great selection of mostly unworn lingerie, little scarves and cute costume jewellery. What devoted but clueless lover could ask for more?

For the times they are a-changing

Apparently a hot new trend has emerged among a select few slebs, who are showing their bras off with kind of oddly shaped blouses. I understand from this Aftonbladet article (in Swedish) that Miu Miu are to blame, but if Miu Miu jumped off a cliff, would you?

Anyone else being reminded of this Seinfeld episode?

Paint me beige.

DN has a short article about the main spring trends for 2010 on here, and they´re exactly what I was hoping for. Lovely juvely softness and beige and skin colours and a little bit of layering but not too much. I am a bit dubious about this clog-trend I´ve been hearing rumours about, although Mama Kellerman is very excited (she already has a pair of clogs, you see).

And although the noughties insane heels are great in their way, it is probably a good thing that shoes you can actually walk in are coming back in fashion. I´m sure emergency room staff all over the western world will be very happy anyway.

Alexander McQueen thinks walking is overrated.

Another day, another shoot!

Sneak preview from yesterday's pinup style shoot with the lovely Miss Julia, who's my perfect 50s cheeky girl! Photography by Michael McCarthy, styling by little old me, and beret by Chatham Girl, Zara Carpenter. This is our Valentine's theme shoot, so more will be up soon! Love!

We're open for business!

We opened the shop yesterday, so now all we have to do is tend to it and hope things run smoothly. It still feels completely unreal, like we're playing "shop". Anyway, I'm still exhausted from the final push, so won't make much sense right now. Instead of me rambling, here are some pictures from yesterday:
This is the jewellery display downstairs, made from recycled materials left behind by the previous owner.

This is half of the downstairs section. The other side of the room houses our mini gallery, which opened with an exhibition by Swedish artist Ulf Lundkvist.

This is mom's favourite section - the lingerie topped off with a gorgeous pair of Elsa Schiaparelli hats which any prospective buyers will have to fight her for.
